Vietnam's Women's Indoor Football League is in its third year, and growing fast. The non-profit league captures growing interest among young Vietnamese women in the sport of fast-paced indoor football.

The league, run by Vietnamese women for women, was formed in 2005 to give women an opportunity to compete against other women in the sport of indoor football. The league was formed by Huynh Thi Truong An, a member of the Saigon Times Staff.
The league is currently gearing up for its third annual tournament in July, 2008. This tournament presents a unique opportunity for corporate sponsors to reach out to a progressive, professional demographic.
Currently, the league consists of 16 teams, with many of the top players coming from Vietnam’s business community. The league features two divisions—an A level division for competitive, veteran players and a B level division for less experienced players.
However, with more sponsorship funds, the Vietnam Women’s Football League can give more women the opportunity to play. 2008 appears to be one of the best years yet for the league. A tournament is scheduled for July, featuring the best women’s indoor football in the country.
